Stupid, Stupid, Stupid

Just a tip if you are waiting to hear back about journals and you have a personalty that others may describe as as "worry-wart"-ish1, don't leave your cell phone at home on the first day when you think they2 might be calling. It sucks.

1At least if those others were born during the first World War... which back then they called "The Great War"
2"They" being Law Review... because they are clearly better people than you and I and deserve the respect that comes with being dubbed "one of them."

Um, "they" are emailing us. I left my phone at home, too. FYI: TwoLiter on jd2b said Friday was D-Day (could be tomorrow, but won't be today).

Great, now I have to check my e-mail every 15 minutes to see if I got the e-mail yet.

I know they probably won't be contacting us today, and I figured they wouldn't be calling us when they can more easily send out e-mails. But you forget, worry-wartism is 1) genetic, so there is nothing I can do to stop it, and 2) irrational, so your "logic" will do nothing to stop it.

AH! I haven't checked my e-mail in 10 seconds. Maybe they've sent something now.

It seems to me that you forget your phone every time you're expecting an important call :o(...It'll be ok though. I guess they called last year, but this year they're supposed to be emailing.

GREAT. For some reason I forgot all about hearing from Law Review... until just now.

Argh.
