... Strike Seven

I received my seventh rejection letter regarding my recent resume mailings for a summer clerkship. So far, all but one of the rejections have been from firms saying they aren't hiring 1L's, so they aren't *real* rejections.¹ But I do have a couple outs now (going back to my stupid baseball analogy), and unless the heart of my order produces, I'm going be out of luck for this summer... then I'll have to scramble for doing slave labor² for a law professor part time and falling back on being a waiter [*Shiver*] to pay the bills.
